The most committed leaders in compassionate care are often the ones running lowest.

In medicine, nonprofits, and high-stakes care work, the people who give the most tend to receive the least investment in their own sustainability. The systems around them were built to extract, not to sustain. Syn-APT was built to change that.

"He doesn't just hand you a mirror. He hands you a blueprint."
— Ashli S., RVT, CVT

Does this sound like you?

What you're carrying has a name.

The systems you work inside were built around a model of a professional who never gets tired, never needs support, and leaves the weight of the work at the door. That model is fictional and the gap between it and the reality of being human is where most of the damage accumulates.

The weight of the work follows you home.

The same problems keep surfacing, even after they've been addressed.

Most people see what's been built. The cost of building it stays invisible.

There's a standard applied internally that would never be considered acceptable to apply to the team.

Difficult conversations get rehearsed long before they happen.

Stepping back has crossed the mind. What comes after is harder to picture.

What's happening has a name, a source, and a path through it.

The Internal Load Assessment

Most leaders in compassionate care know something feels off. They blame the team, the board, the funding, the schedule. This assessment is designed to show you what's actually happening inside and where it's costing you the most.

10 minutes. 60 Questions. Totally Free

The C·O·S·T Framework

     C

Chronic Self-Monitoring

The constant internal audit of how you're coming across, performing, or being perceived.

     O

Overadaptation

Reshaping yourself to fit the room, the role, and the needs around you at an ongoing cost to your own.

     S

Self-Criticism

The internal standard that goes well beyond what would be considered reasonable to apply to anyone else.

     T

Tension

The physical and emotional weight that accumulates and persists, regardless of how a given day goes.

He doesn't just hand you a mirror, he hands you a blueprint. You walk away not only with self-awareness but with tools you can actually use. Ron has this rare gift of blending expertise with a genuine, human approach that makes you feel seen, heard, and valued.

Life as a veterinarian, practice owner, mom and just general human being can be a lot to handle. Working with Ron really helped me identify where my current pressure points are and how to make lasting improvements. I think of Ron as less of a 'Life Coach' and more of a 'Life Sherpa.'

Ron did a fantastic job coaching me through some personal and professional growth! His compassion was amazing, but he also pushed me to explore uncomfortable emotions and come through them with his support. I would recommend Ron to anyone. His specific knowledge and understanding of neurodivergent needs set him apart from others. His personality and genuine care for people make him the perfect coach!

From the moment I found his profile, it was like he knew exactly what I was going through. During our discovery call he made me feel at ease discussing difficult emotions. I'm almost to the end of my sessions and I find myself sad our chapter is ending — he's taught me how to fish.

About Ron

I built this framework inside a world that was quietly consuming me.

I spent more than two decades in veterinary medicine — as a manager, a practice owner, a credentialed leader. On paper, it looked like a steady climb. Inside, it was years of masking, overadapting, and trying to prove my worth in systems that weren't built for how I work.

The COST framework didn't come from a textbook. It came from watching what chronic self-monitoring, overadaptation, self-criticism, and tension do to the most committed people in any care field — and eventually from living it myself.

I left the clinical world because the framework I built applies everywhere that people give professionally. Medicine. Nonprofits. Social work. Education. Anywhere that people are quietly disappearing into the work they love.

Coaching isn't something I do on the side. It's the thing I built the rest of my life toward.
